Federal Tax Credits

• Air Conditioners with an efficiency of 16 SEER and 13 EER or higher
• Air source heat pump with an efficiency of 15 SEER, 12.5 EER and 8.5HSPF or higher

Michigan State Tax Credits

Any furnace that meets Energy Star criteria qualifies, which is generally any furnace over 90% efficient.

The credit is $75 for single filers with adjusted gross income of $37,500 or less. For joint filers the credit is $150 with combined adjusted gross incomes of $75,000 or less
